Home...

It's good, if not a bit surreal to be home. After landing in Chicago, I decided to sit it out for 48 hours before going home, and booked a flight to Denver over the phone, which was suprisingly easy, especially considering my domestic ticket had been booked separately from the international one. I've been back at work two days and have spent time with family and friends, but also miss the sense of 'home' and community that we found in Gambo. I will hold this experience in my heart forever, and I will pray for everyone who has lost so very much that light, goodness and hope can come from the ashes of horror. I hope that everyone is home and safe and secure.
